I like attention. |
I only did 29 days of my 30 day challenge, I don’t see this as a failure, I just didn’t like the 30th day question, so I skipped it.
Its summer time, but I am not getting to celebrate with my usual summer relaxation, this isn’t a complaint, merely stating a fact. I am babysitting from 7-5, Monday-Friday, which although it is not a real “job,” it isn’t always the easiest. I am also taking an online class, and 2 night classes, both of which are science classes.
On top of all of these things, everyone decided they would get married this summer. I will have a wedding to attend for every weekend in June, one of which I am the MOH for, and two weddings in July.
I am still enjoying my summer though! The sun has shined everyday since it started, and my kid are wonderful this year and that makes everyday better, and even though my classes are difficult, I have finally learned how to study/manage my time and that makes things so much easier.
Well this was random, but it was just a little update on my life.
peace and good blessings.
So, as I stated in my previous post, it’s Makin’ Music week here at FHU.
Well, let me take you back to Sunday night. After watching all of the clubs run through their shows, I got to go back to my dorm at about 10PM. I was excited, because I knew everyone would be at their respective club practices and the laundry room would be open for sure. I got my laundry together and went down to wash my clothes. As I was taking my clothes to put them into the dryer, I slipped in some pooled up, soapy water, and all I know is my knee made a pop that it has never made before. I panicked and laid there for a few minutes just crying because i was convinced that I would never be able to walk again (dramatic). I crawled to my phone and called my nursing friend, Jenna, and she helped me.
Today I went to the Dr. and they took xrays and said nothing showed there, but if it was not feeling better by Monday, then I have to get an MRI. The Dr.’s visit was a story in itself, but we won’t go there. I hope that it is just a sprain, but that is doubtful. If that’s not the case, then it is a torn ligament or ACL, neither of which are repaired without surgery. So if you’re reading this, please say a little prayer that It’s neither of those things.
The thing I hate most is that I am not able to fully do my job for Makin’ Music. I am not in a club show this year, and my only job is to help the Hosts and Hostesses with whatever they need, usually in the dressing room, which right now I cannot get to. I hope to be feeling better by Friday so I can help with the main shows. If not, then I will just be watching the show and helping with the things outside of the dressing room. I feel pretty bad about it, but I know this isn’t something I could help.
I have 2 favorite times of the year, that is the time from Thanksgiving Day until Christmas day, and Freed-Hardeman Makin’ Music!!!
Every other year, I have been in a cast and performed a show, this year I worked with the Host/Hostesses, Allison May, Bradley Gean, Leah Young, Rachael Weaver, Travis Young, and Victoria Botts. I have become so close to all of them, and I am so glad that I chose to do this for my last year in Makin’ Music!!

GO GO SIGMA RHO, 17,17,17!!!!!!!
Where do you think you’ll be in 5 years?
I have been asked this question several times this year. I am taking a class, “seminar.” The purpose of this class is to fully prepare me to become a social worker, it’s the final social work class I will take… which is scary! Anyways, one of the things we cover is how to handle an interview. We do mock interviews and try to come up with appropriate answers. When I was asked this question this is the answer I gave…
In 5 years, I hope to have a job as a social worker, preferably one that I am happy with. I would like to be completing, or to have completed my masters in either Counseling or Social Work. I would like to be stable financially. And lastly and most importantly, I want to be happy.
I don’t know where I will be in 5 years… If I have learned anything in my life, it’s that no matter how on track you think your life is, and how happy you may be in it, it can change. So to say here where I think I will be would be a waste of time :)
If you had three wishes what would they be?
1) I would go back to elementary school, second grade preferably, and acutally study and try in school from 2-10 grade, because I really am pretty smart and I could have done a lot better!
2) I would have an unending amount of money, so I could have whatever I needed and could give others whatever they wanted.
3) I really keep going back to the cruise with my best friends, that would be soo fun!!
Where is somewhere you would want to visit?

I would love to visit new york for about a week, and get to see everything that I wanted to see, but not be rushed! I love broadway so much and I would give anything to get to see so many of the plays they have there right now! I think I would prefer to go to NYC in the summer or spring, maybe even fall, but definitely NOT winter!!
How has your week been?
Over all this week has been pretty good!
My school week was overwhelming. I didn’t have very much due this week, but next week is going to be intense! I have a million things due and they are all stressful and important to my future.
I got to come home early and see some of my sister’s students perform in “High School Musical Jr.” Which was cute and funny!!
On Saturday I spent the day with my best friend. We went to my favorite place, Big Bob Gibson’s and ate lunch, and then we went shopping! I got a new dress and a new v-neck! For dinner we went out to celebrate my step-mom, sherry’s 50th Birthday, we went to Outback!
Tomorrow, I will go to church and then we’re having a family party for Sherry, where I will get to eat cake!!
And even though next week is going to entail a lot of school work, I am leaving for the beach on Friday, so I know it will be ok!
yesss!

Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Every time I am going through a trial, I go to this verse. It is so encouraging! If you will remain patient during your trail, optimistic and hopeful towards the fact that your conflict will get solved, and pray faithfully about your conflict, it will work out.
